Denyse Medlenka

Denyse Medlenka has over 20 years of work experience, starting with their role as an Accountant at the City of Fort Worth in 1999. Denyse then served as a Manager of Internal Audit at IMCO Recycling from 2000 to 2004. Denyse continued their career in internal audit as the Manager at TRIAD Healthcare, Inc. from 2004 to 2005.

In 2005, they joined Jefferson Wells International as a Consultant before joining Southwest Airlines as a Senior Manager of Audit in 2007. At Southwest Airlines, Denyse played a key role in developing team members, co-creating the company's Enterprise Risk Management program, and aligning the Audit Plan with key strategy and objectives.

Denyse's next move was to GameStop, where they held various roles in Human Resources from 2012 to 2021. Denyse started as the Director of Audit and Compliance - North America, responsible for the domestic audit plan and working closely with the Board of Directors Audit Committee and Senior leadership. Denyse then transitioned to Director of Human Resources, working on reimagining payroll systems and leading a team responsible for accurate and timely processing of domestic employee data. Later, they became the Senior Director of Human Resources, leading HR business knowledge and implementing enterprise-level systems for Human Capital Management.

Following their time at GameStop, Denyse joined Chubbies Shorts in 2021 as the Vice President of People & Administration, where they focused on building a best-in-class HR Function and led the Customer Service team.

Denyse then joined Solo Brands in 2021 as the Vice President of People & Culture, overseeing human capital strategies and building a best-in-class virtual experience. Currently, they serve as the Chief People Officer at CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center) since August 2022.

Denyse Medlenka graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1998 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, majoring in Finance, General. In February 2021, they obtained the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM. Denyse also has additional certifications in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), although the details regarding the institutions and the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
