Rob Hughes

Rob Hughes has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Rob worked at Cidara Therapeutics from 2017 to the present, holding various positions including Senior Director of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Prior to that, they worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2008 to 2017, where they started as a Scientist and eventually became a Senior Scientist. At Vertex Pharmaceuticals, they were responsible for managing outsourcing manufacturing, coordinating technical transfers, and overseeing chemical development projects. Rob also has experience working at the CF Foundation and Neurocrine Biosciences.

Rob Hughes has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal chemistry from the University of Portsmouth, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999. Rob then pursued a Masters degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Southampton from 1999 to 2000. Finally, they completed their education with a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Southampton, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004.
