Maria Adelaida Gomez

Maria Adelaida Gomez has had a diverse work experience spanning various roles and institutions. Maria Adelaida started their career in 2011 as the Head of the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Laboratory at CIDEIM. In 2016, they joined the Wellcome Trust as an Intermediate Fellow in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Currently, in 2022, they are working as a Visiting Professor at Universitá di Catania.

Maria Adelaida Gomez earned their Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Universidad de Los Andes between 1997 and 2002. Maria Adelaida then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University from 2003 to 2009. Following that, they completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Neglected Tropical Diseases at CIDEIM from 2009 to 2011.
