Ariane Gouin is a Specialist in Photonic Components Design and Test at Ciena since May 2022. Previously, Ariane was an M.Sc. Student in Electrical Engineering at the Optical Communications Laboratory - Université Laval, where the project focused on studying the coupling of orbital angular momentum modes in free space into a ring-core fiber for spatial division multiplexing. Ariane has also served as a Teaching Assistant at Université Laval, instructing courses in digital communications, logic circuits, and kinematics. Additional experience includes research internships at COPL, where work involved correcting non-linearity in frequency combs spectroscopy, and at the Centre de recherche CERVO, developing fluorescence imaging systems. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Optical Communications and a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics, specializing in Optics-photonics, both from Université Laval.
