Claude Carignan

Claude Carignan is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the photonics and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of High Speed Photonic Component at Ciena since November 2024, Claude previously held multiple leadership roles at TeraXion from June 2006 to October 2024, including Senior Director of Intellectual Property and Technical Advisor, Senior Director R&D, Quality Director, Director PMO, and Engineering Director. Earlier career positions included Gestionnaire de Programme at ABB Bomem from 2004 to 2006, Directeur Ingénierie de Production at Corvis Corporation from 1997 to 2002, Directeur Technique at Kromafibre from 1997 to 1999, and Chercheur at IREQ Hydro-Québec from 1992 to 1997. Claude Carignan earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Engineering from Université Laval between 1986 and 1991.
