Detlef Hess

Detlef Hess is a seasoned professional in the telecommunications industry with over three decades of experience. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at Ciena since March 2010, Detlef specializes in the management of hardware characterization for optical interfaces, focusing on reliability predictions and ensuring compliance with NEBS and similar regulatory standards. Prior to Ciena, Detlef held a Senior Manager position at BNR/Nortel from 1984 to 2010. Detlef's educational background includes a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both obtained from the University of New Brunswick.
