Thomas Soerensen is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in global sales and marine maintenance strategy across multiple regions. Currently serving as Vice President of Global Sales at Ciena since February 2022, Thomas has previously held senior leadership roles, including Managing Director for EMEA, APAC, Oceania, and Marine Maintenance Strategy at SUBCOM, as well as various managing director positions at TE SubCom. Thomas began his career at Alcatel-Lucent as Director of Marine Maintenance Services and has a background in marketing and sales from Furuno Danmark. Thomas holds a Certificate in Business Administration from AVT and has military training from the Royal Danish Navy Officers Academy.
