Wayde Jaskela

Wayde Jaskela is a Full Stack Software Engineer at Ciena since August 2015, specializing in the development and maintenance of internal quoting applications and a question-and-answer engine for hardware products and services configurators, utilizing Agile methodologies and maintaining test-driven development practices. Previously, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Cyan, Wayde implemented advancements in modem technology, enhancing bandwidth capacity in packet switch cards. Additional experience includes extensive roles in mechanical design at Force10 Networks, Turin Networks, and Alcatel, where design and thermal challenges of networking products were addressed. Wayde holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics with a minor in Computer Science from Sonoma State University and several associate degrees from Santa Rosa Junior College.
