Ciência Viva
Alexis Soares is a dedicated educator with a wealth of experience in teaching and educational coordination. Currently serving as a Professor at Escola Secundária/3 Rainha Santa Isabel in Estremoz since November 2023, Alexis also holds a long-term role at Centro Ciência Viva de Estremoz since August 2007, focusing on pedagogical coordination. Previous teaching positions include roles at several institutions, such as Escola Básica de Mário Beirão in Beja and Agrupamento de Escolas de Nisa. Alexis has also worked as a formador at Lopes Garcia Consultores and Rumos. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Ciências da Terra, da Atmosfera e do Espaço from the University of Évora and a Licentiate degree in Ensino de Biologia e Geologia from the same university.

Ciência Viva
We support science education projects and organize placements for secondary students in research laboratories. We also organize public campaigns to promote science and technology and have set up a network of interactive science centres -Ciência Viva Centres Network.
