Chuck Berg

President, U.S. Government Business & Senior Advisor at Cigna

Charles Berg serves as the president of Cigna's U.S. Government organization which brings together its Medicare Advantage, Part D and Medicare Supplement insurance offerings, CareAllies (which works with providers to accelerate their transition to value-based care), and Cigna’s Individual and Family Plan product offerings.

A veteran health care executive with more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Berg has served in various leadership roles and brings senior-level experience in building and scaling payer and provider-centric businesses across the country.

Berg has served as Executive Chair of DaVita Medical Group, a leading value-based medical group, and as executive chairman of WellCare Health Plans, Inc., a provider of managed care services for government-sponsored health care programs. Prior to WellCare, he served as president and CEO of Oxford Health Plans, Inc. When Oxford was acquired by UnitedHealth Group, Berg became an executive of UnitedHealth Group and was primarily responsible for integrating the Oxford business.

Berg earned a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in political science from Macalester College.
