Samer Taleb

Samer Taleb has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Samer started their career at Deloitte, where they worked as a Strategy and Operations Consultant before being promoted to Senior Consultant and Manager. At Deloitte, they managed consulting teams and advised clients on various areas such as business strategy, operational restructuring, and IT strategies.

After leaving Deloitte, Samer joined SICO BSC (C), a leading Gulf region investment bank. Samer quickly rose through the ranks and became the Head of Investment Banking. In this role, they led transaction teams and provided strategic advice to clients on capital raising and M&A transactions.

In 2014, Samer joined AXA, a global insurance company. Samer initially served as the Head of Corporate Development for the Middle East and Africa region, where they were responsible for external growth strategy and establishing partnerships and joint ventures. In 2016, they were promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Head of Control Functions for AXA Next, the company's innovation and services arm. In addition to their financial responsibilities, they also managed legal, procurement, compliance, data privacy, and risk functions. During their tenure, they successfully spun-off Playthora, divested from Maestro Health and Kamet startup studio, and coordinated capital raising activities from external investors.

Samer'slatest role is Head of Strategy at Cigna Healthcare, a position they started in 2023.

Samer Taleb's education history is as follows:

In 1997, Samer Taleb attended Purdue University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering (IE) in 2000.

From 2000 to 2001, Samer Taleb pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISyE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

During the same period, from 2000 to 2001, Samer Taleb also attended the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, where they obtained a Certificate in Management of Technology, focusing on Technology Management.

In 2007, Samer Taleb attended DePaul University and participated in a Corporate Finance Program.

In 2008, Samer Taleb enrolled at the London Business School for an Advanced Corporate Finance Program, specifically focusing on Corporate Finance.

Most recently, in 2018, Samer Taleb attended IE Business School and completed the Global Advanced Management Program, which is an executive program focused on Business Innovation.
