John Michael Burton

John Michael Burton is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and leadership roles. As the Owner and Chief Engineer at Cigol Solutions, LLC since June 2018, Burton oversees engineering projects and business operations. Prior to this, Burton held key positions at Heatworks from July 2019 to December 2022, including Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager, as well as Senior Mechanical Engineer. Additional experience includes roles as a Design Engineer at Porticos, Senior Mechanical Engineer at HAP Innovations, and Mechanical Design Engineer at Parata Systems. Burton began their career as an Associate Applications Engineer at Altec and completed internships at Boeing and Shodor Education Foundation, Inc. Burton earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University in 2010.
