The Centre is housed in a Green Building which received the prestigious Platinum Rating in 2003. This was the first Platinum rated Green Building outside of US and the third in the world. The Centre was inaugurated by H.E Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the then President of India, on July 14, 2004.
