Andy Barnhart

Andy Barnhart has worked in the software development industry since 1980. Andy'sfirst role was as a Senior Programmer at Sophisticated Data Research, where they designed and developed data entry systems, microprocessor-based multi-user CRT interviewing systems and various statistical programs. Andy then moved on to be the VP Tech Division at David Thielen Software, where they managed a technical staff and designed and developed PC software. In 1985, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Western Automation Laboratories, and then a Senior Systems Analyst at US West Knowledge Engineering, where they managed programming staff and designed and developed terminal emulation products for the telephone industry. In 1989, they became a Senior Software Engineer/ Manager, Special Projects at Harris & Paulson, Inc., where they managed a development team creating a custom document management system for a large corporate client. Finally, they have been with Cii Technology Solutions since 1995, where they have been a Senior Software Developer providing field practice solutions to Grant Thornton (CPA firm) as part of the team delivering Explorer, AuditCare, Voyager and numerous other projects. Andy also often handles support issues that are escalated to development.

Andy Barnhart began their educational journey in 1976 at Druid Hills High School, where they graduated Spring 1977. Andy then attended Georgia Institute of Technology, majoring in Chemistry from 1977 to 1978. Andy continued their studies at Dekalb Community College from 1978 to 1979, before graduating from the Control Data Institute with a degree in Computer Programming in 1980. Finally, they attended Regis University in 1988. In 2018, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Professional certification in C#.
