Sam Phelps

Sam Phelps is the Vice President of Portfolio Oversight at CIM Group, where they lead decarbonization strategies. They previously served as a Doctoral Researcher at Columbia University, focusing on the interactions between carbon dioxide and ecosystems, and as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Harvard University, where they investigated marine microbes and climate relationships. Sam also held a Chateaubriand STEM Fellowship at the Centre Européen de Recherche et d’Enseignement des Géosciences de l’Environnement, collaborating on phytoplankton research. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from Brown University and a PhD in Geology from Columbia University.
