Uzair Aslam

Uzair Aslam is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as the VP, Principal Data Scientist for Enterprise Risk Analytics at CIMB since March 2024. Previously, Uzair held the position of AVP, Data Scientist for Risk Intelligence at Maybank from June 2020 to March 2024, where significant contributions included pioneering a machine learning-based fraud detection model that drastically reduced turnaround time and saved the bank millions in potential losses. Prior experience includes roles at The Center of Applied Data Science, Maxis, and Huaxin Technomen International, focusing on data-driven business advisory, machine learning training, and market analysis. Uzair's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Data Science & Business Analytics from Asia Pacific University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
