Vijai Sookrah

Vijai Sookrah, MASc., P.ENG, currently serves as a Capital Projects Engineer and Project Engineer at CIMCO Refrigeration Inc., since August 2016. With prior experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto's Combustion Research Laboratory, Vijai has conducted extensive research on biofuels, engine optimization, and material corrosion. Additional roles include Mechanical Design Engineer at Clearpath Robotics and Design/Production Engineer at Uni-Spray Systems, where Vijai focused on product design and engineering solutions. A background in naval pressure vessel design and control systems engineering was gained at Aircraft Appliances & Equipment Limited and Pratt & Whitney Canada, respectively. Academic qualifications include a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
