Mika Martikainen

Mika Martikainen has extensive work experience in risk management, strategy development, and business development. Mika currently works at Cimcorp Group as the Head of Corporate Risk Management, where they focus on improving processes and minimizing risks while identifying opportunities. Mika also contributes to the implementation of the Group's strategy. Mika is a Board Member at FINNRIMA and previously worked as a Global Risk Manager at Cimcorp Oy, where they collaborated with global organizations to enhance processes and identify risks and opportunities. Prior to that, they held various business development and sales roles at Outotec, where they specialized in environmental products and processes for the mining industry. Mika's career began at Kemira, where they worked in research and development and application management for the oil & mining business. Mika also managed large-scale corporate-funded projects in water treatment. Before that, they worked as a research engineer at OM Group, focusing on the development of Ni and Co products for electronics and rechargeable batteries. Overall, Mika has a diverse background in risk management, strategy implementation, business development, and research and development in various industries.

Mika Martikainen holds a B.Sc degree in Process Engineering from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (1987-1991) and an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from LUT University (1992-1995). Mika also completed an Executive MBA in Technology Management & Strategy from the University of Oulu (2005-2006). Currently, Martikainen is pursuing a Licentiate of Science (Technology) in Green Chemical Technology at LUT University, expected to be completed in 2022.
