Gregory Ervin

Associate Director Of Foundation Engagement at Cincinnati Art Museum

Gregory Ervin has a diverse work experience in the museum and nonprofit sector. Gregory most recently worked as the Associate Director of Foundation Engagement at the Cincinnati Art Museum starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta from 2020 to 2024. Gregory also served as the Manager of Grants and Sponsorships at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History from 2022 to 2023 and as a Grants Coordinator at LaAmistad, Inc. from 2019 to 2023. In addition, Gregory worked as a Private Tutor at Applerouth Tutoring Services from 2019 to 2022 and as a Guest Experience Ambassador at the Atlanta History Center in 2019. Gregory gained internship experience at several museums, including the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, the Morris Museum of Art, and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Gregory's roles during these internships involved educational and curatorial work, exhibition research, docent training, and gallery management.

Gregory Ervin earned a diploma in the Honors/Regents High School/Secondary Diploma Program from Hoover High School in 2013. Gregory then attended The Ohio State University from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and French. In 2016, they also studied French Language and Literature at Sorbonne University for a partial Bachelor's degree. Recently, from 2018 to 2020, Gregory pursued a Master's degree in Museology/Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs.
