Mitchell Leigh has extensive work experience in the field of systems engineering and analysis. Mitchell began their career at Cincinnati Bell in 1999 as a Web Developer and worked there until 2001. Mitchell then joined Macy's Systems and Technology in 2001 and held a role there until 2008. In 2008, Mitchell joined Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as a Systems Analyst and was promoted to Senior Systems Analyst in 2014. Mitchell further advanced in their career, becoming a Senior Systems Engineer in 2021 and currently holds the position of Lead Systems Engineer.

Mitchell Leigh received a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Western Governors University in 2020. Before that, they attended Eisenhower High School from 1987 to 1990. Mitchell also obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Computer Network Administration from Beckfield College. Mitchell holds various certifications, including Linux Essentials from the Linux Professional Institute, Site Development Associate from the Certified Internet Web Professional, and CompTIA Cloud Essentials Certification from CompTIA, all obtained in 2019. In 2020, they received the CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS Stackable Certification and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification. Mitchell also holds several certifications from CompTIA, including CompTIA A+ ce Certification, CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable Certification, CompTIA Network+ ce Certification, and CompTIA Project+ Certification. Additionally, they obtained the Foundations of Leadership Certificate 1 and Foundations of Leadership Certificate 2 from NSLS Baruch in 2022.
