Patrick Potter has a diverse work experience in the mechanical engineering industry. Patrick started their career as an Engineering Co-op at Allison Transmission in 1991 and later worked as a Design Engineering Co-op at Adam Opel AG in 1994. In 1997, they joined Cincinnati Gear Company as a Design Engineer. Patrick then co-founded BHS Getriebe Inc. in 2002, where they served as Vice President and contributed to significant growth in annual sales. Patrick then transitioned to Voith Turbo in 2007, first as an Engineering Manager and later as the Applications Engineering Manager / Power, Oil & Gas. Patrick joined Cincinnati Gearing Systems Inc. in 2014, initially as the Director, Advanced Programs Engineering, and currently holds the position of Senior Vice President. At CGS, they have also served as the Director of Sales, where they were responsible for driving new business development and providing technical guidance to customers. Additionally, Patrick owns Potter & Potter LLC since 2020.
Patrick Potter completed their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Patrick obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied from 1990 to 1995. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, attending from 1995 to 1997. In addition to their academic qualifications, Patrick holds a certification as a Private Pilot - SEL, awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration in July 2011.
