Romi Torales

Romi Torales has extensive work experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on international operations. Romi started their career at Ernst and Young as a Senior Audit Associate in 2004. Romi then joined Cinemark in 2007, where they held various positions of increasing responsibility. Romi served as a Manager in the Accounting & Reporting team until 2014, then took on the role of Senior Manager in International Accounting. In this role, Romi oversaw the Accounting Departments in 15 countries in Latin America and was responsible for managing mergers and acquisitions processes, partnering with the SEC reporting team, and collaborating with the SOX Compliance group. Romi also implemented ASC 606 and ASC 842, improving the financial reporting process. In 2020, Romi was promoted to the position of Director, International Controller.

Romi Torales completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management and Entrepreneurship from UADE Business School in 2013. Prior to that, Romi Torales earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Universidad Nacional de La Matanza in 2008, specializing in Auditing.
