Finn Thomas

Finn Thomas began their professional career in 2017 as a Peer Tutor at Placer High School. In 2018, they joined Blue Moon Designs as a Print and Embroidery Technician, where they took and completed detailed custom orders from clients for embroidery and vinyl, as well as designing logos for screen printing using Adobe Illustrator. From 2015 to 2020, Finn worked at Auburn Gymnastics Center, first as a Receptionist, where they greeted visitors, answered telephone calls, and responded to emails promptly and professionally, and also collected and recorded tuition payments and attendance into computer system. Finn also worked as a Recreational Gymnastics Coach, constructing lesson plans and teaching beginning gymnastics classes to children aged 4-12. In 2019, Finn joined Telestream as a QA Intern, and in 2021 they were promoted to Software Engineering Intern. In this role, they unified in-code property documentation of Telestream’s cross-platform media framework C++ source code, and created a C# program which converts the commented documentation to Markdown and uses TeamCity to auto-publish to the documentation webpage. Finn also created and published a Typescript VS Code Language Server extension (wflextension) which features intellisense for Telestream’s workflow. Currently, Finn is employed at Cinnafilm, Inc. as a Software Engineer.

Finn Thomas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis between the years 2018 and 2022. In October 2022, they obtained a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera.
