Mupp Emma K. Heemskerk

Emma K. Heemskerk, MUPP, is a Business Development Associate at Cinnaire, contributing to the business development strategy for affordable multifamily housing across nine states since February 2023. Previously, Emma served as the Executive Director of the Eastown Community Association from 2020 to 2022, where responsibilities included managing Community Development Block Grant compliance and collaborating with stakeholders on city-wide policy advocacy. From 2014 to 2020, Emma held the position of Director of Programs and Outreach at the Illinois Housing Council, overseeing a substantial membership base and organizing Illinois' largest affordable housing conference. Emma's academic background includes a Master's Degree in Urban Planning and Policy with a focus on Community Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Art & Women's Studies from Aquinas College. Additionally, Emma has completed specialized training in community development finance and low-income housing tax credits.
