Prior to this, Douglas Becker founded Laureate Education Inc., previously known as Sylvan Learning Systems, where significant contributions were made as Founder and Chairman from 2004 to December 2018. Douglas Becker's earlier experience as Chief Executive Officer of Sylvan Learning Systems from 1991 to 2004 involved transforming it into one of the largest tutoring companies globally, with expansive growth in multiple regions and diversification into testing, assessment, and higher education.
