Caroline Stockmann

Treasurer at CIPD

Caroline has been Chief Executive of the Association of Corporate Treasurers since February 2017, having held the position of Chief Financial Officer at both the British Council and Save the Children International. She has 30 years’ experience in senior finance, commercial and strategic roles at several commercial organisations including Novartis Pharmaceuticals (Switzerland), Cadbury Schweppes, Granada plc and Unilever/ Bestfoods (Thailand, Netherlands and UK). Much of her working life has been spent overseas and promoting diversity and inclusion.

Caroline is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds an ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting. She has filled numerous roles on boards and is currently a member of the Finance and Investment Committee of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Deputy Chair of the International Group of Treasury Associations, and President of the National Association of Corporate Treasurers (US).

Caroline recently developed practical leadership courses for Durham University and the Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship, and has run seminars around the world on leadership and strategic influencing, often with a focus on diversity and inclusion. She also produces regular podcasts on developing your full potential as a leader and is a Licentiate of the Guildhall School of Music.

Caroline was elected as Treasurer of the CIPD in December 2022 and is Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
