Jean-Pierre Muller is a senior researcher at CIRAD since August 2001, specializing in artificial intelligence and the modeling and simulation of complex systems, and served as the head of the research unit from 2002 to 2005. Between January 2002 and December 2009, Jean-Pierre collaborated as an associate researcher at LIRMM, focusing on multi-agent systems and knowledge representation. Prior experience includes a professorship at the University of Neuchâtel from January 1983 to July 2001, during which Jean-Pierre led the computer science department from 1999 to 2001, as well as assistant roles at ENSIMAG for programming language compiler courses. Jean-Pierre holds advanced degrees in computer science, including a PhD from Grenoble INP - UGA and an HDR from Université Montpellier II.
