Stefan Karolcik has a diverse range of work experience. Stefan started their career as a Sales Consultant for UK at ekoDEA in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Student Software Intern at ANASOFT, focusing on front-end design. In 2016, Stefan worked as a Hardware Design & Verification Intern at ARM, specifically in the Media Processing Group. Stefan also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Imperial College London during the same year. In 2017, Stefan did a hardware design internship at Arm, where they were responsible for complex design and evaluation of a hardware validation platform. Stefan then worked as an undergraduate researcher at Imperial College London, engaging in biomedical and healthcare-oriented electronics research. In 2018, Stefan worked as a Biomedical Engineer at Circadia and currently is a Doctoral Researcher at Imperial College London, where they are involved in the development and research of a novel wearable for monitoring Dengue patients.

Stefan Karolcik's education history starts in 2013 when they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications at Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave. After completing their Bachelor's degree in 2014, they went on to Imperial College London to pursue an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which they obtained in 2018. Stefan then continued their studies at Imperial College London and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering in 2022.
