Phil Spanninger

Phil Spanninger has extensive experience in various roles related to operations technology and data architecture. Phil worked as the Principal of Operations Technology at Circana starting from October 2016. Prior to that, they worked at Merkle as the Director of Tech Lead, where they led the design and development efforts for marketing data warehouse solutions. Phil managed development teams and successfully deployed automated marketing database solutions for various clients. Before Merkle, they held the position of Senior Manager of Data Architecture at Accretive Health. Phil Spanninger also worked at JPMorgan Chase as Vice President of Application Development and at Accenture as a Project Manager, where they managed teams and implemented collaboration tool data warehouses, established global data architecture standards, and saved significant costs through operational stabilization.

Phil Spanninger attended Bradley University from 1995 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, General. Phil also attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1995 to 1998, but did not earn an undergraduate degree. In addition to their education, Phil obtained certifications such as IRI Market Advantage™ and IRI Unify® Certified Professional from IRI in July 2019, and a Merkle Digital Professional certification from Merkle in 2015.
