Stephen J. Kassinger

Stephen J. Kassinger is a dedicated scientist with extensive experience in genetic engineering, microbiology, and research. Currently serving as Scientist II at Absci since November 2020, Kassinger focuses on genetic engineering initiatives aimed at environmental improvement. Previous roles include Consulting Microbiologist at (512) Brewing Company, where work centered on scaling and enhancing product yield, and Research Assistant at the University of Texas, where a novel transposon regulon evolution scheme was developed within Escherichia coli. Early research experiences include a Research Intern position at Binghamton University's Biofilm Research Group, mentoring at Genspace NYC, and internships at the Binghamton Entomology Research Group.
