Stan Manning has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Stan began their career as a Special Forces Engineer in the 3rd Special Forces Group from 1992 to 1996. Stan then served as a Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant in the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) from 1996 to 1998. Stan joined the US Army Special Forces Command in 1998 and served as an Assistant Detachment Commander until 2004. In this role, they were responsible for commanding, training, and managing a Special Forces A-Detachment. Stan also conducted joint training exercises in the Middle East and Central Asian States, and built partner capacity by working with indigenous forces. From 2004 to 2012, Stan served as the Advanced Skills Branch Chief in the G-37 of the US Army Special Operations Command. Stan then became the USASOC Liaison Officer to USSOCOM from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, Stan joined Threat Deterrence, LLC as the Senior Vice President, and in 2018, they joined Circinus, LLC as the Chief Operating Officer.

Stan Manning holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science and Management, which they obtained from Campbell University between 2010 and 2012. Prior to this, between 1998 and 2000, they attended Austin Peay State University where they pursued Business Administration, Management, and Operations without obtaining a degree. In addition to their formal education, Stan Manning has also obtained certifications as a Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker from the Florida Licensed Real Estate Commission in August 2012, and as a North Carolina Real Estate Broker from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission in September 2005.
