Sierra Brown is an experienced educator currently serving as the Lead Preschool Teacher at CIRCLE C Child Development Center since August 2023. Prior to this role, Sierra spent nearly six years at Your Growing Child, where responsibilities included developing comprehensive lesson plans and enhancing communication with 4-5 year olds. In earlier roles, Sierra acted as an Assistant Teacher and Training Specialist, focusing on teacher development through training courses and workshops. Additional experience includes a position as a Teacher's Assistant at St. Edward's University, a Kennel Technician at Happy Mailman, and community engagement as a Community Liaison Officer and Postal Service worker at the American Consulate in Hong Kong. Sierra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Edward's University and completed earlier education at Hong Kong Academy and the American School of the Hague.

Founded in 1994 as a community amenity for the residents of Circle C Ranch, The Child Development Center has grown to provide nationally recognized preschool programs to residents of the immediate community and families throughout Southwest Austin. Our main campus on La Crosse Avenue serves children as young as 2 months through age 5. With one of the lowest teacher turnover rates in the preschool industry, the CDC’s early childhood programs consistently provide families and children with an unparalleled level of individualized education. Through the years, The Child Development Center has developed partnerships with AISD including unique inclusion classrooms, after school programs and summer camps for school-age children. The Circle C Child Development Center is a private, not-for-profit company with a volunteer board of directors. It is independent of the Circle C Ranch Homeowners Association. The preschool and its programs are funded by tuition, fees and fundraising. Because of its unique history as part of the Circle C Ranch neighborhood, The Child Development Center is the only preschool of its kind.
