Adam Busby has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Adam has held various roles and responsibilities within different organizations.
Adam began their career at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust, where they worked as a Theatre Health Care Assistant and later as a Student Theatre Practitioner. Adam also took on the role of Assistant Bed Manager, where they managed patient flow and operational site management.
Adam then joined the Bristol Royal Infirmary - UH Bristol, where they served as a Senior Theatre Practitioner and later as a Theatre Team Leader. In these roles, they provided clinical leadership and operational management within the theatres.
Afterwards, Adam joined Spire Healthcare Group plc, where they held several positions, including Theatre Manager, Matron/Head of Clinical Services, and Group Head of Clinical Operations. Adam managed different specialties and was responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
Adam then worked at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where they served as Deputy Divisional Director, Divisional Director - Planned Care, and Associate Director of Private Patient Services. Adam oversaw the day-to-day operations of the division and led the development of patient-centered services.
Adam also gained experience at The Health and Care Professions Council as a Continuing Professional Development Assessor.
Currently, they are employed at Circle Health Group as the Group Director of Clinical Practice & Performance, and also serves as the Acting Group Clinical Director in the absence of a Chief Nursing Officer. In these roles, they are responsible for clinical performance, practice, governance, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement.
Throughout their career, Adam has demonstrated leadership, management, and clinical expertise in various healthcare settings.
Adam Busby completed their education at the University of the West of England, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Leadership in Health & Social Care from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended the University of Plymouth from 2004 to 2006 and received a Diploma of Higher Education in Operating Department Practice.
