John Bowron- In Physics- Optics Consulting

John Bowron holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Waterloo and a B.Sc. in Physics from Simon Fraser University. Currently serving as a Lens Designer at Circle Optics since April 2019, John has extensive experience in optical design, previously working as a Senior Optical System Designer at IMAX from October 2005 to February 2019, where responsibilities included designing and collaborating with manufacturers on custom short throw projection lenses for digital IMAX projectors. Prior to IMAX, John held positions such as Manager of Optical Design at ELCAN Optical Technologies and Senior Optical Engineer at Christie Digital Systems, with earlier experience as a Staff Scientist at Waterloo Scientific Inc.
