Julianne Freeman

Julianne Freeman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of data science and research. Julianne is currently working at CircleCI as a Manager, Data Science, and prior to this, they held the position of Senior Data Scientist, Core Growth at the same company. Before joining CircleCI, they worked at Webflow as a Senior Data Scientist, Lifecycle. Julianne also gained experience as a Data Scientist, Risk & Detection at Eventbrite. Julianne has contributed significantly to Insight Data Science, where they served as a Data Science Advisor, coaching fellows in the Data Science, Data Engineering, and AI programs. During their tenure at Samba TV, they held the role of Data Science Manager. Julianne started their career as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, where they developed an app for identifying yoga poses in online yoga videos. Prior to their data science roles, they worked as a Principal Investigator at Emory University, managing various research projects and leading a team of students. Julianne also pursued their Ph.D. at Emory University, focusing on magnetic brain stimulation after stroke and developing interactive analysis dashboards in Python. Julianne's research experience also includes their role as a Research Associate at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they studied the effect of long-term methamphetamine use on human decision-making. Julianne began their career as an Engineering Intern at Infinera Intelligent Transport Networks, where they ran calibration tests on super-optic fiber systems.

Julianne Freeman completed their Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at UCLA from 2008 to 2012. Julianne then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience at Emory University, studying from 2013 to 2018.
