VP of Technical Services at CIRCON Environmental

Thomas McGillis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the environmental and safety field. Thomas is currently the VP of Technical Services at CIRCON Environmental since 2019. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant at Riley Environmental, Inc from 2017 to 2019, where they focused on environmental and safety audits, incident investigations, waste operations enhancements, and regulatory interpretation.

Before that, Thomas served as the Director of Environmental Compliance and Technical Services at US Ecology/The Environmental Quality Company from 2004 to 2017. In this role, they were responsible for safety and environmental regulatory compliance, ISO certification implementation and maintenance, hazardous waste approvals, and technical operations.

From 1995 to 2004, Thomas worked at TRADEBE as the Director of Technical Services, overseeing various divisions including regulatory compliance, waste approvals, and profit/loss accounting.

Earlier in their career, Thomas was the Site Manager at Ash Grove Cement/Cadence Environmental Energy from 1993 to 1995, where they managed a BIF permitted cement kiln and ensured compliance with waste-derived fuel burning regulations. Thomas also served as the Laboratory Manager at Petro-Chem Processing, Inc. from 1987 to 1993, leading the on-site TSDF laboratory and managing waste materials.

Overall, Thomas McGillis has a wealth of experience in environmental management, regulatory compliance, auditing, and technical operations.

Thomas McGillis attended the University of Detroit Mercy from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, and Environmental studies.
