Kathleen Bean, RHIA, CHPS has over 20 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. In 1999, they began their career as the Director of Health Information Management and HIPAA Compliance Officer at Buffalo Heart Group. In 2017, they moved on to become the Director of Health Information Management at Trinity Medical Cardiology. In 2019, they were hired as the Manager of IT Applications at Catholic Health. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed the Director of Clinical Informatics at Circuit Clinical.

Kathleen Bean, RHIA, CHPS has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Technology in Healthcare Management from Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology, and an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology from Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Epic (Epic Research, Accredited, Epic Ambulatory, Accredited) and AHIMA (Registered Health Information Administrator, Certified Healthcare Privacy and Security). The RHIA certification was obtained in August 2021, the Epic Research Accredited certification was obtained in November 2021, and the Epic Ambulatory Accredited certification was obtained in April 2021. The CHPS certification was obtained in June 2015.
