Mehrdad Majzoobi

Mehrdad Majzoobi is a seasoned professional in the field of electrical and computer engineering, currently serving as a Mentor at Circuit Launch since October 2017, where assistance is provided to hardware entrepreneurs in areas such as rapid prototyping and capital raising. Previously, as VP of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Picovoice from November 2018 to November 2020, Mehrdad played a key role in forging strategic alliances with semiconductor companies and OEMs to enhance voice user interfaces across various applications. As the Founder and CEO of BitLock from January 2013 to January 2018, a focus was placed on designing sustainable transportation solutions that foster collaboration. Early career experiences include a Research Assistantship at Rice University, where research was conducted on security in embedded systems, and a Research Internship at Microsoft, contributing to hardware verification frameworks. Mehrdad earned a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University, following a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the University of Tehran.
