Paul Shorthouse is an experienced leader in the fields of sustainability and circular economy, currently serving as Managing Director of Circular Economy Leadership Canada since February 2021 and as Senior Director & Strategic Advisor for the Canada Plastics Pact since May 2022. Shorthouse also holds the position of Chairman of the Board for Synergy Foundation, where impactful projects supporting the green and circular economy are advanced. Previous experience includes Senior Director and BC Regional Director at The Delphi Group, Senior Director and Director of Conference Programming at GLOBE Series, and Managing Director at GLOBE Advisors. Educational credentials include a Diploma of Technology with Distinction in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from British Columbia Institute of Technology, a Certificate in Environmental Stewardship from Camosun College, and a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Biology from the University of Victoria.

The Circular Economy Leadership Canada is a not-for-profit alliance of corporate and NGO leaders, think tanks and sustainability experts who believe Canada can be a world leader in adopting sustainable, prosperous, zero-waste, low-carbon-emitting solutions for a global Circular Economy. The coalition will play a key role in fostering collaboration among industries, experts, communities and all levels of government in the development and implementation of new Circular Economy solutions that protect and regenerate our natural environment while enhancing prosperity.
