Dedra Chamberlin

Dedra Chamberlin is the CEO and founder of Cirrus Identity. Dedra was previously the deputy director of identity and access management at UC San Francisco and UC Berkeley. In this role, they were responsible for building a common identity and access management strategy across the UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco campuses. Dedra also reviewed existing IDMS systems, identified gaps, developed a future strategy and implementation plan, and partnered with other universities on identity and access management strategy as a member of the Strategy/Organization team of the Community Identity Framework for Education and Research. Dedra also supervised, coached, mentored and led a team of 9.5 fulltime staff and 4-5 contract fulltime staff, including application administrators, system administrators, developers, business analysts, and project managers. In addition, they regularly met with UCB, UCSF, and UCOP IT leadership to secure project sponsorship and determine IAM strategy in alignment with core business needs. Dedra also provided leadership to Identity and Access Management Steering Committees on both campuses, chaired the system-wide UCTrust workgroup, and served on the UC IT Architecture Group extended leadership team.

Dedra Chamberlin has a MCP from the University of California, Berkeley and a MA in City and Regional Planning and Latin American Studies.
