Andrew Buschbom

Andrew Buschbom is currently serving as the Cybersecurity State Coordinator for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since July 2023. Prior to this role, Andrew was the Acting CISO for the New Mexico Human Services Department from February 2020 to July 2023, where responsibilities included enhancing security posture and monitoring using Splunk and cloud tools. Andrew's experience also includes serving as a Senior Intel Analyst and Information Security Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from June 2007 to June 2018, focusing on cyber intelligence reports and incident response procedures. Additionally, Andrew has interned with the United States Army's CERDEC and Iowa Telecom. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Information Assurance and Computer Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, and an Associate of Science in Computer Science, all obtained from Iowa State University and Marshalltown Community College.
