Marty Smith

Marty Smith serves as the Chief of Protective Security at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since August 2023, leading Protective Security Advisors in the southeastern United States to enhance security resilience among critical infrastructure partners. Prior to this role, Marty served as a Supervisory Protective Security Advisor at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security - Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency from February 2011 to August 2023. Marty’s extensive experience in security management includes a position as Security Manager at Florida Power & Light Company from February 2004 to February 2011, and a distinguished career as a Special Agent in Charge at the U.S. Army Criminal Investigative Command from February 1982 to February 2004. Marty earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Columbia Southern University between 2000 and 2004.
