Hemachandra Bezawada

Hemachandra Bezawada is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware design and development, particularly in high-capacity router products. At Cisco, as a Principal Engineer and Sr. Hardware Manager since May 2012, Hemachandra has led a team to develop advanced Core and Edge Router products, contributing to significant revenue growth exceeding $1 billion. Previously, Hemachandra held the position of Director of Engineering at Tellabs, overseeing the development of next-generation edge router platforms. Hemachandra also served as Sr. Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering at Wichorus, focusing on integrated hardware and firmware solutions, and worked as a Systems Architect at Motorola, guiding product architecture and system-level requirements. Earlier experience includes a role as Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems, contributing to next-generation hardware systems.
