Timo-Juhani Karjalainen

Timo-Juhani Karjalainen is an experienced architect at Cisco, specializing in network and orchestration architectures, secure networks, software-defined data center designs, and SDN solutions since April 2013. Key responsibilities include creating automation solutions using open source tools and Python, leading pre-sales initiatives, and mentoring team members. Previously, Timo-Juhani served as a Senior Consulting Engineer, advising large internet service providers and public organizations on network design and incident management. Timo-Juhani's consulting background at Omnitele involved network vendor benchmarks, investment strategies, and technical due diligence, complemented by extensive international project experience. Timo-Juhani holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunication from Tampere University of Technology and completed military officer training.
