Marci Ries, MBA, PMP, CSM has extensive work experience in program and project management. Marci is currently working at Cision as the Director of Program Management, where they plan and hosts various events and conferences for the Product and Technology organizations. Prior to this, Marci worked at Valassis as the Executive Director, Program & Project Management, where they were responsible for managing the project management organization and the portfolio of projects. Marci also served as the Director, Program and Project Management, leading a team of project and portfolio managers and maintaining project data integrity. Marci also has experience as a Senior Project Manager/Process Engineer, Senior Pricing Manager, Client Liaison, Print Specialist, Manufacturing Liaison, and Account Promotion Representative. Before joining Valassis, they worked as a Market Analyst at The Martec Group. Marci holds an MBA degree and certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).

Marci Ries, MBA, PMP, CSM, obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing and Human Resources from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, graduating in 2001. Marci then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Walsh College, completing their studies in 2004.

In addition to their educational background, Marci has also obtained several certifications. In 2016, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Marci achieved the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance in 2014. Furthermore, Marci earned the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Valassis in 2013.
