Fan Wu has a diverse work experience, starting with an internship at Deloitte in 2014. In 2016, they worked as a Visiting Associate at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In the same year, they also started their doctoral research at the University of Oxford, specializing in optimization methods for high-dimensional statistical models. During their time at the university, Fan Wu held various roles, including being a Student Representative and later a Tutor and non-stipendiary lecturer at Lincoln College. They also interned as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities in 2021 before joining the company as a full-time employee in 2022. Fan Wu's research interests include machine learning and signal processing.
Fan Wu completed a DPhil in Statistical Science from the University of Oxford from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2017, they obtained an MSc in Applied Statistics from the same university. Fan Wu also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics, which was completed from 2013 to 2016 at The University of Bonn. Additionally, they obtained a BSc in Mathematics from The University of Bonn from 2012 to 2016. During their studies, Fan Wu had the opportunity to be an exchange student at Stony Brook University in 2014-2015, focusing on Business.
