Matt Lindesay

Matt Lindesay has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of IT. Matt most recently worked at Citadel Securities as a Site Reliability Engineer. Prior to that, they held various leadership roles at MUFG, including Head of Cloud Engineering and Automation, Head of Virtualisation and Operating Systems, and Head of Unix Infrastructure. Matt also worked as a Contract Sybase, Oracle, and SQL Server DBA during their time at MUFG.

Before joining MUFG, Matt worked at UBS as a Contract Sybase/Oracle DBA. Prior to that, they were a Sybase/SQL Server DBA at JP Morgan Chase. Matt also has experience as a Director at Enterprise Web Services NZ Ltd and as a Unix Admin/DBA at Tasman Business Solutions.

Earlier in their career, Matt worked at BMC Software as a Technical Project Manager and Team Leader, where they also handled Sybase database administration. Matt also worked at Gerrard National Inter Commodities as a Sybase DBA and Performance and Tuning Specialist.

Matt started their career as a Contract Sybase DBA at Barclays Capital, where they provided production support for Sybase implementations. Matt also worked as a Contract Sybase DBA/Sybase Programmer at ABN Amro, providing administration support and performance tuning recommendations to development teams.

Matt Lindesay obtained a BCom/BSc degree from The University of Auckland, specializing in Management Science and Information Systems for their BCom degree and Computer Science for their BSc degree. Matt attended the university from 1991 to 1994.
