Daniel Montesinos-Miracle is an experienced academic and industry professional specializing in power electronics and electrical engineering. Currently serving as Director at CITCEA-UPC since September 2005, overseeing projects focused on world electrification, and leading the Power Electronics area. Additionally, Daniel acts as an Academic Advisor for the BCNeMotorsport Formula Student team, supporting powertrain development. Concurrently, Daniel holds various teaching roles at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, covering subjects such as electrical mobility, power electronics, and industrial automation. As a co-founder and technical advisor at teknoCEA, Daniel contributes to advancements in the field. Daniel's prior experience includes a post-doctoral research position at EPFL and R&D engineering at SALICRU. Daniel holds a PhD and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

CITCEA-UPC is a research and innovation centre in the area of electrical engineering and industrial electronics. Belongs to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, BarcelonaTech, and is part of the TECNIO network from ACCIO, Generalitat de Catalunya and is recognized by AGAUR, Generalitat de Catalunya, as a Research Group. It was founded in 2001. Its capabilities range from power electronics-based equipment for power generation, transportation, distribution and use of electrical energy to energy efficiency, energy management systems using optimization techniques, machine learning and artificial intelligence. CITCEA-UPC also offers specialized training services for professionals in their field of competence.
