Steve Zhang is an experienced executive with a strong background in leadership and management. Currently serving as an Operating Partner at CITIC Capital since January 2019, Steve previously held the position of CEO at both 21Vianet Group, Inc. from October 2015 to June 2018 and Asiainfo from April 2005 to June 2014. With early career experience as a project manager at Versant and Arbor Software, as well as a development manager at Hyperion Solutions, Steve has developed a diverse skill set in technology and operations. Educational qualifications include studies at Tsinghua University from 1979 to 1984 and Rice University from 1987 to 1989.
