Magdalena Borgbrant

Magdalena Borgbrant is an experienced professional in the fields of engineering and research, currently serving as an Operating Partner at Scania Venture Capital since April 2025. Prior to this, Magdalena held the position of Director of Systems Engineering at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden from August 2021 to April 2025, leading a team focused on complex software-intensive and connected cyber-physical systems. Magdalena's extensive experience with Scania from May 2005 to August 2021 includes roles as Head of Research, Head of Product Follow Up Truck Chassis Development, Business Developer, and Design Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed research coordination, product quality management, and mechanical design. Educationally, Magdalena holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and has participated in the Cross Talent Network at Scania.
